About the ANZPI (Oceania) Regional Chapter

We foster the implementation of Environmental Sustainability (ES) projects and initiatives across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands – the Oceania region. We do this through innovation and collaboration with Rotary and Rotaract Clubs and Districts and with other stakeholders, including Government, non-government and corporate entities. We also support clubs to embrace Protecting the Environment as the new Rotary Area of Focus.

Core Functions
Curate, Enable, Lead, Share and Inspire
Rotarians to Create, Do, Manage and Document ES projects and events.

Primary Purposes:
foster action to protect the environment across the region by networking, support and promotion
grow ESRAG’s influence and membership in the region.

Regional Goals:

  • An Environmental Sustainability representative in every club
  • An Environmental Sustainability committee in every club
  • An Environmental Sustainability committee in every District
  • A network of District Environmental Sustainability Coordinators
  • A network of project teams where members collaborate to address specific environmental challenges
  • A Community of Practice of ESRAG Environmental Ambassadors

  • Comprehensive website (with FAQs, Blogs and a collection of regional projects)
  • ES Videos
  • Major event: Environment Area of Focus Launch
  • Training courses e.g. Planning for Success and ES and Integrating Environment into Club
  • Planning
  • Monthly newsletters
  • Monthly Zoom chapter meetings for all members
  • Research and Information on ES topics
  • Guidelines for ES Club and District Coordinators
  • Presentations and workshops
  • Network of District ES Coordinators in Zone 8
  • ESRAG Environmental Ambassadors Training Course (Pilot)

We hold monthly Chapter meetings on Zoom, with guest speakers and ample opportunities for members to network, share projects and initiatives.
