Like a growing number of Rotary clubs, at least monthly some members meet in a local area for an hour to pick up plastics. So, there is a small patch on the planet with less plastic and wildlife more protected because of us.  We have two fixed dates being the first and third Saturdays of the month when we meet fro an hour pick up some plastics and go for a coffee – it’s great fellowship (we do observe social distancing).  We do a coin collection to but wooden fork that go with meals for the homeless – so saving plastic forks going into the environment.  We started with 3 people and now often over 30.  Plus smaller groups do other collections.
