Sunbuckets in the Kakuma Refugee Camp

Location/Club:  Rotary Club of London Hyde Park, St. Thomas (Canada) and Eldoret-Uasin Gishu (Kenya), District 6330 and 9212, Canada and Kenbya

After the introduction of the SUNBUCKETS at the 2 month period there were significant reductions in the amount of wood/charcoal used for cooking, the elimination of kerosene lamps, and a significant cost savings. A longer term evaluation of the acceptance over time and the benefits will need to be included in future projects.
