Stop 2: Save the Date for the Pre-RICON Workshop – June 20, 2025
ESRAG and the Rotary Action Group for Community and Economic Development (RAGCED) are teaming up to host a Pre-RICON Workshop in Calgary, titled “Building a Better World.” Plan to arrive on June 19 to attend both the workshop and RAGTime (details below).
Participants will bring their project ideas and leave with a concrete action plan. Through a keynote presentation, expert panel discussions, and structured workshops, attendees will develop impactful climate action projects to take back to their clubs and districts.
Keynote Speaker: David Miller
David Miller is the Managing Director of the C40 Centre for City Climate Policy and Economy, a global network of mayors tackling the climate crisis. As former Mayor of Toronto (2003–2010) and past Chair of C40 Cities, Miller has championed sustainable urban economies. He is the author of Solved: How the Great Cities of the World Are Fixing the Climate Crisis and holds honorary doctorates in environmental studies and law.
Expert Panel Discussions & Workshops
- ESRAG Task Force Leaders will showcase solutions to the triple crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, and plastic pollution.
- RAGCED Leaders will demonstrate how to build self-sustaining, economically viable, and replicable projects.
- Hands-on Workshops will guide participants through transforming their vision into an actionable project plan.
