The Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG) is committed to accelerating the transition to clean energy. As part of this effort, ESRAG has launched the Solar Leader Prize, offering financial support to help Rotary clubs and districts implement impactful solar energy projects. This initiative is designed to reward and empower Rotarians who are leading the way in renewable energy solutions, helping communities transition to sustainable, affordable power sources.

What Is the Solar Leader Prize?

The $1000 Solar Leader Prizes provides  support for solar projects that align with ESRAG’s Million Solar Panels Challenge https://esrag.org/million-solar-panel/ and Habitat Solar initiative. The prizes are available to Rotary Clubs, Districts, and Rotarians who are actively working on projects that increase access to solar energy, to reduce carbon emissions, and promote energy security for communities worldwide.

Beyond funding, recipients also gain access to expert mentorship and ESRAG’s global network of solar advocates. This ensures that projects are not only financially supported but also well-planned, scalable, and impactful.
