Tim’s academic background includes both a BSME from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science in Business from the Sloan School at MIT. Professionally, Tim served in several roles that provided business experience in purchasing, manufacturing, design, finance, sales, marketing, M&A activities, business development, corporate development, and strategic planning. These roles included leading numerous teams through formation, project definition, planning, and project execution. Tim retains a consulting practice following voluntary retirement as a Strategic Planning Director, at Emerson (ticker EMR) in June 2019.

Tim has non-profit Board experience with the Louis August Jonas Foundation as a committee member of the Strategic Planning Team since 2012. He joined the LAJF Board in 2015 and began serving as the President-Elect in 2016 and served as Board President from 2017-19. Tim continues to serve as a member of the Executive Committee of LAJF. In addition, Tim has spearheaded a number of projects including the alumni survey in 2015, driving the development of the 2017-21 strategic plan, formalizing a Major Donor program in 2019, and leading a team installing an 82 kW Solar installation on the non-profits facility.

Since joining ESRAG, Tim has served as co-leader of the Renewable Energy Task Force, is on the District 5950 Environmental Action Committee, leads his local club's Environmental Action Team, leads the ESRAG Website team, and is active on the ESRAG Communications, Marketing, and Education team.

Married to Donna, Tim has 3 adult children that have all married and have a total of 7 children. Tim is passionate about how the environmental challenges we face will impact his grandkids.
