WHAT IS IT?
Showcasing Results
Environmental projects will take a substantial amount of time to yield results. iRotree is a mobile app that allows Rotarians worldwide to report on their environment-related projects in a simple but consistent manner. This will allow the progress of such projects to be captured, analyzed and reported in the long run.

to capture and report Rotary’s environment-related
projects, and their progress, over a long period of time.

Objectives
Quality of data is of paramount importance to impact reporting. For a new system like this, the quality is best enforced at the point of data entry. To improve this, the project uses Rotaract Clubs to review and enhance the data that is entered by Rotarians worldwide. For the Pilot project (tree-planting), a Rotaract Club was formed at the Forest College and Research Institute in Mettupalayam, India. The model was recently set up but looking at the possibilities, more such Clubs are being set up in other countries.
