Empowering Youth for a Greener Future: Mission LiFE in Action

As the world grapples with climate change, environmental degradation, and resource depletion, the importance of sustainable living has never been more urgent. Recognizing this, Rotary District 3131's Environment Committee launched Mission LiFE, an innovative initiative that educates students on practical ways to reduce waste, conserve water and electricity, and adopt eco-friendly habits. ESRAG SA member Rajendrakumar V Saraf from the District Environment Committee guided this initiative. Through interactive workshops, students learn the importance of replacing plastic tiffin boxes and water bottles with steel, composting kitchen waste at home, and making bio-enzymes as natural cleaners. They are also encouraged to save water by fixing leaks and using aerators, reduce electricity consumption by switching off unused appliances and maximizing natural light, and grow plants using organic compost.
