Community Action for Fresh Water
Monday, 23 June, 2025, 14:00-15:30
In this session, learn about the Rotary-UNEP initiative and how you can be part of it to make a lasting change in your community and the world. Members will hear how you can help start your water project, connect with local and international partners, and leverage the UNEP technical resources to improve water situations. You’ll also learn how citizen testing can transmit information to the new Rotary-UNEP website to help us all learn from other projects from around the globe.

Achieving Sustainability in Your Community

Rotarians, across all our diversity, regardless of country or language, are invited to gain insight into the state of our planet and what we can do together to improve the outlook of our common future. Club and District leaders will learn about strategies and projects that make lasting change regarding environmental sustainability that can also attract new members and partners via transformative efforts, disaster relief, and community action.

Thursday RAGTime is the traditional evening gathering of all the Rotary Action Groups (RAGs) and senior Rotary leaders for a low key mingle with good food, great fellowship and a laid-back vibe. Plan to arrive early in Calgary so that you don’t miss it. Share experiences and explore collaborations to better serve Clubs and Districts through sustainable, measurable, and impactful projects.

ESRAG and the Community Economic Development Rotary Action Group (RAGCED) have partnered to present a dynamic, hands-on workshop designed to equip you with the skills to create high-impact projects for your clubs and districts.
- Keynote Speaker: David Miller, former Mayor of Toronto and Managing Director of C40’s Center for City Climate Policy and Economy, will kick off the event. He will emphasize the urgency of climate action and highlight opportunities for Rotary-led solutions.
- Expert Panel Discussions: A panel of project and grant development specialists will share valuable insights and tools for effective planning and implementation.
- Interactive Workshops: Engage in expert-led, interest-based sessions designed to help you collaborate, design, and develop meaningful projects for your clubs. Participants will be encouraged to track and share their progress.
- Networking & Culinary Experience: Connect with Rotary members from around the world while enjoying delicious cuisine prepared by SAIT’s culinary students.
