This global network supports task forces working to implement climate solutions that reverse global warming and reach Drawdown – the point at which green house gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline.

To create awareness of, and to promote practical solutions for the need to urgently transition to Clean Cooking.

Become a food steward.

Objectives
OUR MISSION: help the world reach “Drawdown”— the point
in the future when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere
stop climbing and start to steadily decline, thereby stopping
catastrophic climate change — as quickly, safely, and equitably as possible.
Project Examples
Our planet is on a trajectory to global warming well in excess of 2C which will cause significant economic and humanitarian hardship for communities around the world. While government, financial markets, businesses all play significant roles in tackling the Climate Crisis, so too can community and individual actions.
With Rotary’s extensive global network and trusted brand we are uniquely placed to create significant impact throughout communities around the world to implement solutions to help ‘flatten the curve’ of rising greenhouse gases.
The ESRAG Drawdown Climate Solutions Taskforce works to inspire, support and empower the Rotary Family to form teams that implement climate solutions locally, regionally and globally.
We do this by developing systems and tools to support Climate Solutions Education, implementation of projects and activities and the formation of Collaborative Relationships
In particular we facilitate the formation of Solutions Task Forces that bring together enthusiastic experts and volunteers to work on solutions such as:
- Renewable Energy
- Reducing Food Waste
- Plant Rich Diets
- Cleaner Cookstoves
We work to leverage the Rotary Brand and network to create a movement of ‘changemakers.’
